For folks who call me regularly....

Friends who call me with any frequency tend to know that Daddy and I have a specific time we talk every week, and know not to try to call me during that half hour or so. When that time is has changed several times over the years -- we started with a minute or two after 11pm on Friday nights since I was rarely awake on Saturday mornings when he called other members of the family. The minute or two after 11 was when long distance rates went down, which will give you an idea of just how long ago we started the weekly phone conversation habit. :-)

We switched to Wednesdays when I started traveling on a lot of weekends, then to Tuesdays after I moved to Massachusetts, where Wednesday is the most likely weeknight for me to be over in Boston at the NESFA Clubhouse. As Daddy started going to bed earlier, we moved the time up: first to 10pm, then 9pm. The timing didn't affect the long distance rates any more, and there was no reason Daddy needed to stay up an extra hour or two in order to talk to me.

When I was in Battle Creek over the holidays, Daddy asked about moving the time once more. Unless someone is visiting, he tends to turn in around 8pm (and is up early, early, as so often seems to happen with the elderly). We've just finished week 2 of the new schedule.

All of which is the long way of saying "Please do not call Ms. Sullivan between 7:00 and 7:45pm Eastern time on Tuesdays as she is otherwise engaged at that time." (And she looks forward to being so for as long as the quality of life issues remain on the positive side of the scale as they have delightfully already done for so long.)
